Paintings

Painting has been a lifelong ambition of mine and since moving to Cornwall I have been inspired by the dramatic light and scenery. The ever-changing weather brings a feeling of non-stop movement to the landscape. In the quest to capture this, I am constantly experimenting with different techniques, one of which is adding cold wax medium to oil paint. This medium thickens the paint and allows for the building up of layers which can be scratched and drawn through to partly reveal the colours below therefore giving an extra depth and linear movement to my work.
